Grants and Fellowships: Spring 2016
Pharmaceutical Chemistry department members have received the following grants and fellowships between April and June 2016:
6/9/2016: The National Science Foundation awarded Steven Altschuler a grant for his project entitled "Collaborative Research: The Genetic, Epigenetic, and Immunological Foundation of Cancer Evolution.” This project will be funded for 3 years.
5/18/2016: Bo Huang received a grant from the National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering entitled "Multimerized GFP probe for live cell imaging." The project will be funded for two years.
4/19/2016: A grant was awarded to Lei Wang by the National Institute of General Medical Sciences for four years. The project is entitled, "Adding New Covalent Bonds to Proteins in Live Cells."
4/5/2016: Ambika Bhagi, a postdoc in Michelle Arkin's lab, was awarded a fellowship from the Schlumberger Foundation's Faculty of the Future Fellowship Program for the 2016-2017 academic year.
4/1/2016: Michelle Arkin received an award from the National Institutes of Health and the National Cancer Institute entitled, “A high content screen dissecting ciliogenesis and oncogenic Hedgehog signaling.” This project will be funded through 2021.
