QBI TV presents a live discussion on HIV healthcare in Sierra Leone as well as the disparities and HIV/AIDS-related stigmas that exist among communities in developing nations featuring Bailor Barrie, co-founder of Wellbody Alliance, a primary care clinic in Sierra Leone that offers healthcare programs for HIV, TB, and maternal/child health and aims to build an effective healthcare system in their region that will save lives in a sustainable, equitable, and just manner.
The QBI and Gladstone Institute Infectious Disease and Human Health Seminar Series presents Ellen Foxman MD, PhD, an assistant professor of laboratory medicine and immunobiology at the Yale School of Medicine. Dr. Foxman trained in medicine and immunology at Stanford University. In Dr. Eugene Butcher’s group, she investigated leukocyte homing and the role of short-term memory of prior chemotactic signals in allowing neutrophils to reach their target sites within tissues.
As a member of the Office of Student Affairs (OSA), I coordinate outreach programs for prospective student pharmacists by arranging campus visits and information sessions. I facilitate our program’s involvement in various recruitment events across California and the United States. I serve as program director of the pharmacy cohort of the UCSF Interprofessional Health Post-Baccalaureate Certificate Program, by working closely with the Schools of Dentistry and Medicine. As part of the admissions team, I am involved in several aspects of admissions.
I am a clinical pharmacist for the UCSF School of Pharmacy and UCSF Office of Population Health Clinical Programs. My primary role includes providing direct patient care, precepting students and residents, and developing new pharmacy services. My areas of focus for clinical services include transitions of care, complex care support, asthma, chronic disease state management (diabetes, hypertension, and hyperlipidemia), comprehensive medication management and medication access assistance.
