The QBI Hackathon is a 48-hour event connecting the vibrant Bay Area developer community with the scientists from UCSF, during which we work together on the cutting-edge biomedical problems. Recent advances in computer vision, AI, and machine learning have enabled computers to identify cat videos, recognize people’s faces from photos, play video games, and drive cars.

Associate Dean

As Chief Pharmacy Officer at UC Davis Health, I have responsibilities for all operational and clinical aspects of our large and dynamic pharmacy services, including the pharmacy residency program, a robust specialty pharmacy network, Cancer Center and Investigation Drug Services, 340B program, inpatient and outpatient pharmacy operations, medication security program, and retail pharmacies. Additionally, I serve as an associate dean at UC San Francisco School of Pharmacy, where I work with other health system leaders of advanced pharmacy practice programs to provide administrative support, mentoring, and instruction to students and faculty members. My areas of focus include acute and ambulatory clinical support, operational excellence, and fiscal optimization.
