As a financial analyst, I provide post-award research administration for Drs. Arkin, Altschuler, Huang, Miller, Renslo, Sakanari, Shu, Wang and Wu, including assisting with the development of proposals and budgets, ensuring agency and campus policy compliance; handling project set-up, financial management of funds, interim budget reports and expenditure projections; performing cost transfers; coordinating project close-out and the preparation of final reports.
I am the purchasing manager for the pharmaceutical chemistry department. In that role I also provide material management services and handle all aspects of the capital equipment inventory.
As the Operations Analyst, I oversee many of the department's day-to-day functions. I am responsible for the department's completion of the Emergency Action Plans, the Business Continuity Plan, the Space Inventory, and coordinating the department website content. In addition, I am our department's Ambassador in charge of the annual Engagement Survey.
My role of administrative assistant includes functioning as Amber Software sales administrator and providing administrative support for BMI, BP, and CCB graduate programs.
I manage the Biophysics Graduate Program including the Systems Biology emphasis. I manage all aspects of the program including admissions/recruitment, funding, grants, events, and curriculum in my role as graduate program coordinator.
